Find out how rooms work, what is free, and how to choose content for your friends before you play.
What is Balakona?
Balakona is a browser platform with 21 online games for friends, including Ludo, Dominoes, Trivia, Draw & Guess and Mafia. Each person plays on their own phone or computer. Choose Arabic or English for the interface and a separate culture for room content.
Do I need to download an app?
No download is required. Open balakona.games in a modern phone or desktop browser. You can also add Balakona to your home screen where supported. An internet connection is needed for online rooms.
Do I need an account to play?
Yes. Sign in with Google and finish setting up your player profile before creating or joining a room. You can read the game guides without signing in.
How do I create a room and invite friends?
After signing in, choose a game and create a room. Share its six-digit room code or room link. Your friends sign in and join, then the host starts the game once its player requirements are met. Each game has its own settings.
How many players can join?
The limit depends on the game; a room holds at most 16 people. Examples: Ludo: 2 to 4 players; Bus Stop: 2 to 12 players; Mafia: 5 to 14 players; Trivia: 1 to 16 players. Check your chosen game's guide, including whether bots are supported.
Can I practise with bots?
Many games let the host fill empty seats with bots. Games marked as requiring human players, such as Odd One Out and Closest Guess, do not support bots. Check each game's guide for its requirements.
Is Balakona free? What can I buy?
You can start playing for free. Some content categories need an unlock with earned in-game coins or a one-time payment; a locked category requires every player in the room to own it. Optional purchases include cosmetics and a seven-day pass without ads between games. The pass does not renew automatically. Check the shop for current availability and prices.
Can I withdraw in-game coins as money?
No. Balakona coins are an in-game balance with no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. You can earn them through play and achievements, and optional rewarded ads where available. They are used for eligible unlocks and cosmetics.
Which cultures are available, and how do I choose?
Available cultures: Egyptian, American, Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini, Omani, Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese. Choose yours during account setup or in Settings. The host's culture determines room content. Arabic culture banks are in Arabic; the American bank is in English. Some general knowledge is shared, and choosing a culture does not change every board or card ruleset.
Does changing the interface language change my game content?
Language and culture are separate choices. The language switch changes the Arabic or English interface. To change the room's question and word culture, the host chooses a culture in account settings.
Is a gift or referral code the same as a room code?
No. A room code has six digits and joins an existing room. A gift or referral code is used during account setup under its own eligibility conditions; it does not join a game room.
Where can I get help or ask about my data?
Use the Contact page for support and feedback. Include the game name and room code when reporting a game problem. The Privacy page explains saved data, payments, ads and account deletion. Never share your password or payment card details.
