Balakona is a place to play party games with your friends. We keep as little about you as we can, just enough to make the games work. Here's the whole picture, in plain English.
What we keep
- Your name and profile picture from your Google account. You can change the name anytime on your profile.
- Your username and player ID, so friends can find and invite you.
- Match results (which game, your score and your place) for your stats and the leaderboard.
- Coins, items and achievements you earn, so they stay yours.
- Invites you send and receive. Old invites expire on their own.
- Friend-code attribution, qualifying match completion and referral reward records, to verify eligibility and prevent duplicate rewards. Referral progress shows counts, not the friends’ private records.
What we don't keep
- Chat messages and drawings. They live only inside the room and are gone once the room closes.
- We never sell your data, and we never post anything on your behalf.
Public rooms
If you join a public room or use “Play with anyone”, other players in that room can see your display name, picture and anything you write in the chat. Private rooms are open only to people who have the code.
Payments
You can buy some premium looks and unlock game categories with a one-time payment. Payments happen on Stripe's checkout page, and your card details never reach us. We only keep what you bought, the amount and the date.
Ads
- When available, a one-time $4.99 pass removes automatic ads between games on your account for 7 days, with no automatic renewal. It starts after payment confirmation; another purchase extends your remaining time. We store the pass expiry date. Optional rewarded ads and shop purchases remain available.
- Balakona is free to play. To pay for it, we show ads served by Google AdSense.
- You can choose to watch rewarded ads to get in-game coins. Coins have no cash value and can't be withdrawn.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Balakona and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Our own cookies
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in.
- Your language (English or Arabic) and your content style (the culture you picked).
Kids
Balakona isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself from your profile. That permanently removes your account and all of your data and results.
Reports and suggestions
When you submit feedback, we store your message, account identifier, submission time, and the game and room code you include. These messages are private to designated Balakona reviewers and are used to investigate problems and plan improvements. They are removed when your account is deleted. Do not include passwords or payment details.
